Graduation

Went and saw the lovely Lisa Kuehn graduate from the University of Pheonix! She is AMAZING and it was SOOOOO MUCH FUN! I got to hang out with Mary, who drove me to the graduation and she is such a wonderful woman. Mary and Lisa were friends for 33 years and are amazing! :)  We also checked out the cheesecake factory and had some delicious cheesecake!

Also, at around 11pm Sticks, Rubix, Me, and Emily went out to McDonalds to visit McNugget and got out of the car to chitchat at the window since the lobby was closed! :) how i love random nights! :) We looked like this...

Day Camp Week 1 [Back 2 Nature]

Week 1 * Back 2 Nature 

Our first week is over! It was SOOO much fun! We had 32 kids our first day, and an average of 28 per day! (Not bad for nature week!) The kids are great and we have about a 50% return rate from last summer which is SWEEET! I'll just post a few highlights to keep you updated... 

Monday 

Kids arrived and got to meet everyone new! Caterpillar collection began by all of the kids and seemed to be a big hit..I am SO sick of seeing caterpillars EVERYWHERE! haha The activities are really fun and the favorite is POOL time! 

Tuesday

The kids have been having SO much fun and are goofy as ever!!! They say the funniest things and are super duper awesome! I love all of them! Caterpillar girl pulled 13 caterpillars out of her sweatshirt today..i was in SHOCK! Everyone seems to love collecting caterpillars! Darn things! The activities this week are definitly hit or miss...such weird kids! 

Wednesday

It's mid week and we are TIRED! But the kids are relentless and just want to RUN! They have been staying very active and enjoy the new twists we throw into the programs! Some residential camp staff visited and they ROCK! Especially Chandra and Lights :) 

Thursday

The kids are finally getting tired, and we have been running them like no other! Activities are definitely hit or miss..they are SO funny! Everyone seems to carry animals around camp (caterpillars, toads, frogs, anything slow enough to be caught!) The staff is AWESOME and is becoming a family :) We are having a Family Dinner at Stiemke tonight...everyone brought a frozen pizza..it was GREAT! :) Then we went out the campfire and goofed off with the other staff! It was funny to see all of their skits and such! I also got to be Ooga Booga this campfire which was a BLAST! One night only lady and gents! Haha! I also introduced McGee to everyone with the quote, "Hey Yall! This is TITS...I mean, McGee!" Haha it was hilarious! The night ended with a walk on the boardwalk to check out the moon and stars with Rubix, Gimpy (me), Dojo, and Lights..it was great! :) 

Friday

The kids are amazing! They really enjoyed the week and are sad to leave..in fact many tried to stay late. Jman brought cookies for every kid that signed his shirt...haha, talk about bribery! It was funny! He's a great kid though! The kids also brought in boxes and such without letting us know and hid caterpillars in there!!! I laughed SO hard! I wish I had a picture ! haha it was HILARIOUS! We freed the poor things after all the kids left...there was only one problem...one box was a triscuit box with the long side cut off and nothing but grass and water in it...were thinking one of the thigns escaped..question is..what was in the box??? haha :) Were hoping a caterpillar! The kids left the animals there to die! Bummer! Guess well have to talk about it with them on monday...oh and in case you were wondering these were saved by the boys..and not the little boys (7,8, or 9 year olds...) they were saved by the older boys...the 11 and 12 year olds!!! Oh tooo funny!  

The staff (err, 20 of us ish...) went out the Applebee's for dinner! We had a LONG table with all of us and it was great! Had some dinner and then ran and got Paranormal Activity 2 from the Redbox and watched it at camp..it was SOOO much fun! Creepy too! I eventually went to bed..and slept just fine!

Training Week

The week from hell is FINALLY over...that's right...the week where we sit and listen to the manual, plan programs, and goof off is over and we get our kids sooon...(YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!) haha If you can't tell, I am pretty pumped !

Training was fun, we were missing Bushman all week, but the rest of Day Camp [DC] is ROCK SOLID! haha At DC we have Gimpy [me!], Rubix, Dojo, and McGee (yes, as in TITS!) haha The 'family' is sooooo much fun and we all have fun laughing together and hanging out! :) Can't wait for the kids to get here!

I saw this tonight with my mom...

...and can I say...OH EM GEE! It was HILARIOUS!!! There were many serious moments that make you think, but there was SO much laughter involved as well! Everytime I felt that the movie would go one way...it would take a detour and hilarity would ensue! The main character, Annie, has a lot of shit happening to her that is depressing and totally sucks...most of it is her choices and her reactions to it make you feel...bad for her..and can I say..although my life has never been like hers... (for the most part!) I know that I have definitely felt like her before! She was relatable and that was the BEST PART!! She was also incredibly funny and fun to watch! The other bridesmaids were interesting..and the bride is just trying to find her way through a new "battlefield" if you will! Anyways, it was a really awesome movie and you will definitly find me buying it (maybe when its CHEAP!) or at least renting it a few times!

I found this quote the other night, and it keeps reverberating in my brain...I can't get it out of my head...it makes me think about the things I say..but also that its more likely that how you make someone else FEEL is more important...so make others feel GREAT, instead of pulling them down...

On a more humorous note...my mom just put on her earbuds and ipod and started to sing the songs from her Ipod...she starts singing to Rhianna and she yells, "Oh Yes! It's my girl..Brianna!" she also just called her IPOD a "thingy-dingy!" 

Also, Sarah just texted me... "Yo. when do you become a Wisconsin Resident again?" the answer is SUNDAY!!! WAHOO! SO PUMPED !

The beginning...

I am starting a blog because I have a lot to say. Sometimes I just talk, but sometimes I have something important to say...sometimes they get mixed up! I just want a place that I can put my thoughts down & to help me think things through. :) 

So, a little about me...
I am 23 years young and LOVE my life! I try to make everything I do fun, and if its not fun...I will try to make it fun! I have been going to school for a few years..but I really love school. I am a double major with a minor (community psychology, communication studies, & conflict management), and have been learning ALOT in the last few years... I have SO many wonderful friends that I can't name them all...but just know that if you are a friend of mine, you are fabulous! I work at a summer camp, and I am leaving for camp in a few days... [SO EXCITED!]
